How it looks,
and why

GTA VI's minimap looks more like a modern sat-nav than a game map, which is why it sits so well on a car screen. Overworld's version was matched frame by frame to Rockstar's official 2026 Extended Look: a steep 3D view close in, pale warm-grey ground, broad roads with lane dashes, raised and shaded buildings, grey-teal water and no names.

The route is the game's pink, #FB74A5, with a brighter edge, and it fades in just ahead of the marker. And the whole map follows the sun: dim and warm at golden hour, violet slate at night.

The sun
Pale by day, warm at golden hour and violet at night, worked out from where you are. Or hold it at one in Settings.
The buildings
Raised from OpenStreetMap at their real heights. A Layers switch lays them flat.
The flyovers
They stand over the roads below with a side and a shadow, and the route runs under or over them like the game's minimap.
The turn card
Laid out like the game's: the move in words ("Off-Ramp Right") over the distance, the arrow on a pink square.
The edges
The N slides round the minimap's border, and when your destination is off the map its pink dot waits on the border in its direction.
The HUD
Rounded dark glass in Inter and Barlow Condensed, with cards that float over the map.

About this
world

Is this the actual GTA VI map?

No. The roads are real, from OpenStreetMap. Only the look comes from the game, so you navigate your own city, not Leonida.

Can I use a GTA VI map on Android Auto?

Yes. Overworld Maps runs on the Android Auto screen as a navigation app, and the GTA VI look is one of its three worlds.

Where did the look come from?

Rockstar's official 2026 Extended Look. The colours and the camera were matched to it frame by frame, including the route's pink, #FB74A5.
